Formerly known as "Kampong Pisang", Baysview is inspired by a typical residential town in Singapore. Featuring a wide array of amenities with high transport connectivity. Explore north towards the Baysview Aquatic Zoo or Baysview Industrial Estate, or explore east to Kampong Pisang estate.

Baysview also serves as a primary operating district for RMRT, where we offer our commuters and residents a efficient, reliable, and customer-oriented bus transportation services.
history
"Kampong Pisang", which means Banana Village in malay, originated from the settlements or "kampungs" around a former banana plantation area. This land was cleared for the development of Kampong Pisang residential town. The development extended to the neighboring Baysview district, creating more residential areas and a new industrial district, showcasing the area's transformation from a banana-filled past to a thriving urban and industrial hub.
TRANSPORT
Bus
The town is primarily connected by a robust bus network, serving areas like Baysview Central, Upper Baysview, and Kampong Pisang Estate. Majority of the bus services serve Baysview Bus Interchange which is located along Baysview Central.
Following the merger of SMRTC and RMRT Corporations in 2023, RMRT took over the bus operations within Baysview and Kampong Pisang on 01 July 2023.
